I was born in a Colorado mountain town. As a child my father was a freelance sports and military photographer, and it was “the coolest!” Growing up photography was as much a part of my life as G.I. Joe, fast jets, baseball and bike riding. I’ve carried my camera with me through just about all my adventures in life and I have no plan to stop. The first camera I ever used regularly was my Dad’s Olympus Pen F half frame 35mm. I feel lucky to have lived through part of the film era and cherish the moments spent in a darkroom developing countless black and white prints. I was a bit of a late adopter to digital photography, but that hasn’t stopped me from getting up to speed and capturing more images than I have time to sort through. I’m doing my best to share some of the images I have had a chance to work with here on my site, but it will never be enough. I expect that someday after I’m gone, my children will still be discovering new images of mine that are probably older than they are, as well as building a collection of their own. So I hope you enjoy what has made it here, and thank you for taking the time to look.
